In relation to business, women tend to approach things differently, and have different tactics and strategies for dealing with situations. We also tend to think differently about our employees, and are more likely to strive to give them more meaningful work that benefits the community and society as a whole. This is not to say that male business owners don’t (or can’t) run their businesses this way as well: but this is how many successful women entrepreneurs have been running their businesses all along.
Some of these tactics include:
- Building a shared purpose in their workplace community (and their local community)
- Downplaying own role in their company’s success and giving more credit to employees and/or colleagues
- Communication and collaboration across all levels of the company
- Encouraging mutual trust and respect
